Since the beginning of my career as a jewelry artist, my goal has been to create jewelry with the feel of 'modern antiquity'-contemporary designs inspired by the past. I started collecting vintage jewelry at a very young age which later inspired me to want to create my own. Precious Metal Clay has allowed me to transfer a look of the past into my more modern designs. The result? A piece of art that has a casual elegance, that like antiquity, is timeless and will be cherished throughout the years.

I am currently being represented at Art Diva's Gallery Taos, NM,  Twist Gallery Bisbee, AZ, Seedboat Gallery, Silver City, NM and the Edward Bernard Gallery, Cape Girardeau, MO.

I will also be exhibiting in the To Bead True Blue show in February 2009.

I am a traditional metalsmith and art jewelry designer, a Certified Instructor for Precious Metal Clay, and a Certified NLP Life Coach.

With a background in drawing, painting, and textile design, I approach my work with metal and stone much like a painter prepares a palette and a weaver chooses color and fiber. Sterling and fine silver represent, for me, a blank canvas. It is where I begin, building textures, then adding color with stones and high karat gold.

The clarity of light, colors, and textures of the southwestern desert where I live provides generous inspiration. The desert is extreme and fragile, full of contrasts and the unexpected. Their is a delicate balance connecting the environment and life. My designs are a creative interpretation of these interrelationships.

Eclectic adornments to  inspire a lighthearted and generous spirit. I have always possessed a strong desire to create and my hope is that my designs will serve as a good muse in your life. Art to serve as a tangible reminder, a talisman, a good luck charm to inspire a life of joy, happiness and passion. My artwork reflects a collage of experiences and I am eclectic in my design process using a variety of metals as well as paint, fabric, wood, organic and found objects in my jewelry and sculpture.

My Tucson studio is where I love teaching group and private classes in PMC. Click here for class schedule.

I have enjoyed over 20 years of nationwide gallery representation, participated in art exhibits, solo shows, and served as a juror for art and craft fairs. I was a presenter at the 2006 Precious Metal Clay conference and I am published in "PMC Technic", edited by Tim McCreight.

I teach PMC at Pima Community College in Tucson and Green Valley, AZ. My class schedule can be found in my website; a new class for Ring, Bezel and Band on October 27 has just been added. I will also be exhibiting in the To Bead True Blue show in February 2009.

As a Creativity Coach, I guide clients to access, explore, and use their natural creativity. Creative thinking can expand and clarify communications, enhance problem solving skills, and open the possibilities for the creation of art and the art of living. I believe creativity is a resource for possibilities. It is my goal to share that belief through my teaching, jewelry design, and creativity coaching.
I have always had a love of working with my hands, especially with metals, since attending art school in the 70's. I discovered the magic of working with various metals and creating a beautiful piece of jewelry from the raw materials. I hold a B.S. degree from Arizona State University in Crafts/Jewelry and have been working with metals since that time. I am an Art Clay Certified Senior Instructor and PMC certified. In 2005 I discovered metal clay and began a journey that would allow me to use lost wax modeling methods in a new way and with new materials. In addition to creating one of a kind pieces, I teach Art Clay Silver (class list) and show at various art shows and galleries.
